Concern and Curiosity are what I felt reading this installment.. and relieved to hear that you are able to continue your journey. Life can change in an instant, as you well know. These next two weeks sound like just what you all need. Looking forward to the next installments and wishing good health for all three of you! As a last comment... your way of describing the dunes was like an artist painting, then Samwise and Emily totally took over tearing thru the scene. Love those two!

I'll admit you had me wondering, where in the world you were headed for a "white Christmas" ?? and LOL, I let out a big laugh when I opened this post ! Well of course it was White Sands NP and of course it was the farthest thing from my imagination for a "white Christmas , but yet how absolutely perfect !!! I adore your mix of narration and interpretation, raw audio and whatever music you pick... thank you for this simple gift. (by simple, I mean, I that I cherish it more than any material thing I received, it was beautiful. Be well

I find the white sands breathtaking. Don’t you worry that you could get lost? The sands appear endless whichever way you turn.

Looking forward to hearing some of the stories you have reserved for us. Oh, my gosh! Whatever happened that was able to beat you up so? Sure wishing you a full and quick recovery! Your Sonoran Desert rest-over should be a welcome time. You'll get to rest up; Samwise and Emily too, and we'll be fed stories to catch us all up. Something for everyone! So sorry to hear of your injuries. Sending healing energy your way. I had a similar incident on a trail back in October. Broke my wrist, cracked two ribs and scraped my knee slipping down a gully. I lay on the ground when I stopped tumbling and checked in with myself, cried and laid still looking at the lovely fall colors and blue sky above me. It was scary and yet peaceful. The video was so lovely. Truly breathtaking. I have a question for you and hope you will see this. I believe in July or August you sent out emails about selecting a photo. I did and haven't received it. Are they being delivered at a later date? I think you said mid November to mid December. Happy trails!

Joy, they are delayed. Some anyways. The company ran out of my chosen frame. They will be delivered in the next few weeks to those who have not received theirs.

Watching these videos, looking at the pictures, and reading the words make me long to heal, get healthy, and travel. You, at least your trips, are a sponge soaking up life and living that I get to wring out, rinse, repeat, and read again--always full and dripping with delight or danger. The music ain't bad either! Thank you for this. I can barely remember the full story of Aunt Marijane and the fasting. Hopefully my own mini little mental travel will help me find it. Immersed in the video and pictures, I missed the story of your fall until I read the comments. Get well. Happy traveling to the triplets.

Wow, just WOW. Scary to fall at 2am--but I love the image of the possum observing the excitement! I hope you are healing quickly, and how wonderful to have a bathtub to help! That was a clever twist--your "White Christmas"! I kept wondering--how can he be so sure he will have a white Christmas? Glad you can "settle down" for a bit now.

I hope you're mending - I suspect your sheer joy and anticipation is enough to mend any cracks. Soaking sound like a great panacea as well.

I love the antics of Sam and Em on those white sand dunes. Sooo white, so joyful. Excited to read on. Take much care, all three.
