We’ll be on the road a month from today.
My first road trip outside of New England didn’t come until the spring of 2017. You could say it was a wake up call. This will be our third time traversing the country and it will be oh so different.
Originally, it was just Samwise and me in Bill, our little pony of a convertible. We set out on a Saturday afternoon from Porter Square Books in Cambridge, Massachusetts at the conclusion of a Will’s Red Coat event. We stayed outside of Philadelphia that night. From there, I knew I wanted to visit Savannah, Georgia, and see the Pacific Ocean, but there was no plan. Reservations were strung together as we whimsically traveled with all the consistency of a pinball.
On that first odyssey, we came upon National Parks I’d never heard of before. I truly had no idea where we were going and what we were going to see. The entire purpose was to witness parts of America before it was too late for me.
