The three of us tend to melt when the thermometer gets above 80 degrees. This is especially true when the air is thick and heavy as it's been of late. I've never been great in the heat, but it's been worse since my lengthy hospitalization five years ago. The dizzy spells come more often on such days. My brain swims through a dense fog, I sometimes need to steady myself by leaning on a chair or against the wall, and my eyes are not always centered. Our heatwave is a reminder that I went through life-altering maladies and will never be the same.
