I'm never more hopeful or at peace than when in Neskowin. This is our third time visiting the tiny Oregon beach town, population closer to 150 than 200.
We arrived late yesterday afternoon and took a long stroll on the beach as the sun set behind cloudy skies. Our cottage is only a couple of hundred yards from the Pacific. How heavenly it was to sleep with the windows flung open. The sweetness of spring's blooms, the saltiness of the sea air, and the soft roll, tumble, and sigh of the waves seduced and relaxed us. For the first time in two months, we were in no hurry to get up.
