December’s What Are You Reading?

It’s the day after Christmas, and I have no doubt your personal library has been restocked thanks to friends and family who get you. One of our first stops here on Cape Cod was a visit with the Book Temptress (and dog lover), Valerie Arroyo, at the Brewster Book Store. These are the books I picked up and have already begun. Valerie suggested Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan, and I’m thrilled she did. It’s a fabulous read.

Here in New England, we are blessed by the number and quality of independent booksellers. Yes, Amazon and Barnes & Noble can sell books cheaply, but much is lost by bypassing small bookstores. I consider Brewster Book Store to be my favorite shop.
