Being Home: the 1-Month Mark
My apologies for being quieter than usual as of late. We’ve been working on getting back into the swing of things, which is never easy after a five-month sojourn. Thankfully, it feels as though I’ve finally got my feet under me.
Samwise and Emily had no such trouble. They don’t complicate their thoughts as much as I do. As long as everything is okay between the three of us, they are happy and prepared for anything life tosses their way. Oh, to be as uncluttered as my friends.
I strive for their sense of peace and ease, but being human, I get in my own way and trip over my big feet on the way to nirvana.
Over the last two weeks, I’ve been dipping into the world of fiction, visiting Black Wing Farm, the world I’m creating from scratch. It’s a pastoral setting, filled with textured characters, some lovely, others evil, all are layered. Among the non-human characters are a raven, a host of farm animals, and, of course, a black bear.
