A Letter Made My Day
I have the five western letters I promised you ready to go and planned to share the first with you tonight, but a letter came in the mail today. I decided to share it before heading West, for it made me smile, and I thought you’d enjoy it, too.
Dear Tom Ryan,
I am writing this morning to thank you for the man gifts I have received from you over the past several years.
I had no idea when I picked up that book with a dog’s picture on it and read it included the White Mountains and hiking that I would be starting a wonderful adventure also. Thank you for writing Following Atticus.
Of course, Will’s Red Coat came next. Will’s story has made me realize how important it is to plan for our dogs if we may predecease them. And, because I am 71 years old, the next dog I hope to share life with will also be older—like Will—and in need of another home. So, thank you again.
