You never plan for what goes wrong during a trip, but learn to allot for the wrong turns. I’m not sure we’ve ever taken one of these marathon coddiwomples when there wasn’t a mishap. More often than not, it included something amiss with Bill or Clarence.
Clarence remains at Larry Miller Volkswagen, and the stay has lasted longer than anticipated. Our service manager, Thomas, tells me he’s working hard on finding a couple of small but necessary bolts, and we’ll be reunited this afternoon or late tomorrow morning. I believe he’s doing his best.
It’s been a pain not having our faithful steed since Monday morning. It’s definitely put a crimp in our Sonaran dance. However, I’m grateful Clarence is in good hands, and the repairs are not delaying our trip.
